Although I am trained as a general acupuncturist, I have a particular interest in treating eye disorders.  Since the age of two I had to wear glasses for more than thirty years before I discovered how to improve eyesight.  My left eye was heavily short sighted, my right eye was defined as ‘blind’ by ophthalmologists.  I recovered my eye sight in both eyes fully and afterwards trained in the Bates Method.

Ear acupuncture together with individually designed eye exercises is very helpful in treating eye disorders like glaucoma, macular degeneration, MS eye problems, diabetic retinopathy, stroke residue hearing/vision, genetic retinitis pigmentosa.

As well as eye conditions I find auricular acupuncture is an exceptionally effective holistic method of treatment for most chronic complaints. It is especially helpful and has a high success rate for:

• allergy disorders
• migraine, headaches
• arthritis, musculoskeletal pain and disorders
• addictions
• asthma
• nervous complaints, e.g. depression
• PMS, PCOS
• Digestive disorders – liver disease

The utmost care is taken with hygiene when acupuncture is applied. There is no danger of infection as all needles are disposable and used only once.

If you do not like the thought of needles, an acupunctoscope can be used (no needles) which has a similar effect.
